Consent Required
Consent can be defined as the willingness to engage one’s person or property, or both. One engages the property of another when acting under a mandate, also known as a “power of attorney” granted by the principal.
This manifestation of will is termed “express” when the intent of the party engaging is apparent, for example, through the signing of a document or a declaration made publicly or in the presence of a witness. It is termed “tacit” when the agreement of the person is not manifested in writing. In such cases, consent is inferred from apparent elements such as gestures (e.g., clapping hands or shaking hands, marks made on a piece of wood at a rural fair) or behavior, provided it is not ambiguous, such as accepting delivery of an ordered item without a written agreement.
Withdrawal
Withdrawal after payment of registration fees is free and results in a full refund. Furthermore, withdrawal after consent is subject to a penalty of 5% of the credit amount.
